About the event
Join our Machine Free Motion workshop, a creative and expressive session designed to help you explore sewing in a completely new way. Ideal for those with some basic sewing machine experience, this workshop introduces free motion techniques, where the machine becomes a tool for drawing and creating unique stitched designs.
You will learn how to set up your sewing machine for free motion work and gain confidence in controlling movement to create patterns, textures and imagery directly with thread. The focus is on experimentation and creativity, allowing you to move beyond straight lines and structured seams to produce more fluid, artistic results.
Participants are encouraged to bring along their own fabric or garments to work on, giving you the opportunity to personalise items and develop your own style through stitched design.
